Welcome to Troop 550's Web-Site!
The mission of Troop 550 is to help guide each boy to become a well-rounded individual performing up to his personal potential through active participation in the Scouting Program, and to help him grow to be a young adult capable of being a future leader, possessing a strong character, guided by moral certainty, demonstrating good citizenship and exhibiting physical fitness.
The mission is accomplished by following the Scouting Method, by encouraging the scout to live by the Scouting Ideals and by fostering each scout to be successful in rank advancement through activities and merit badges while making friends, having fun and enjoying the great outdoors.

Message from the Scoutmaster, Ronald Wagner
Welcome to web site of Troop 550 formed in 1965 in Warner Robins, Georgia. We are sponsored by Christ United Methodist Church. Our goal is to provide a boy run Troop where we serve as a mentor to the boys, parents, and other leaders. We strive to develop good character, good citizenship, and good health though a vigorous monthly outdoor program and weekly program meetings. We have many parents who serve as Merit Badge Counselors. We attend two summer camps each year or make a trek to a BSA high adventure base. We provide service to the local community by helping the VFW in some of their programs for our vets, a local cemetery, local clubs, local schools, and our sponsoring organization.
We have five patrols and several leaders have completed the Wood Badge training program. We also, have leaders who support the District Committee by serving on various committees.
If you are moving to Warner Robins or just passing through, let us know to come by and pay us a visit.
Yours In Scouting,
Ronald Wagner

Sirus writes "Hi Everyone,
My Name is Rodney Nelson and I used to belong to troop 550. My brother Craig and I are both Eagle scouts and in the WWW, all of which we achieved while my family was posted there in the late 1970's. My father Bud Nelson was scoutmaster for a while as well. We all miss the old troop and the great times at Ben Hawkins, Stone Mountain, Rainy Mountain, Indian Springs and other great adventures.
On of the best trips we took as a troop was going to Virginia for a Jamboree. I remember a tornado hitting the camp and everyone running around trying to secure what they could. 550 was always at the front helping out and was recognized for outstanding help. It was a crazy trip, but a lot of fun.
Im living in Canada now and the Scouts here wear different uniforms but are essentially the same. I am glad to see the troop still together and at the same location! J
